Peter Keegan is a professional artist living and working in Buckinghamshire. Trained at Cardiff School of Art and working in oils, Peter follows traditional painting techniques but uses them in a way to depict the people and scenes he meets in a modern and original way. Peter has exhibited his work across the UK and has shown at the Royal Society of Portrait painters and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters.
Peter presents the weekly podcast Ask an Artist: the podcast dedicated to offering free advice and guidance on the working side of being an artist. Peter is a member of the Visual Images Group, an honorary member of the Winslow & District Art Society and is an elected member of the Buckinghamshire Art Society. Peter is also a brand ambassador for Michael Harding Oil Paints and Rosemary & Co brushes. From the beginning of 2020, Peter was made the first ever Artist in Residence at Aylesbury Waterside Theatre. In 2013 Peter was awarded Artist and Illustrators Artist of the Year 2013, People's Choice award and he now is a regular article contributor for the magazine. Some of Peter's work can be found in public collections as part of the Public Catalogue Foundation.
